Poster Requirements
Please prepare a poster that is maximum 4’ x 3’ (either landscape or portrait – we recommend landscape give the dimensions of our poster boards, but they should accommodate portrait posters as well). Should you require printing at UBC, we typically use CopySmart which is near campus and can do same-day poster printing if needed. We only have enough poster boards to support the posters that are being shown on each day. If you are presenting your poster on Friday, you may put your poster up Friday morning but please take it down Friday evening. If you are presenting Saturday, please put your poster up on Saturday. If you need to store your poster at the conference site, we have secure rooms in the building, just please let Calvin know.
We encourage students to reuse posters from previous or future conferences for NWBS in the spirit of sustainability!
Presentation Requirements
Please plan for a 12 minute presentation followed by 3 minutes of questions. The AV system in the lecture hall we will be using has both HDMI and USB-C inputs. If your computer does not have either of these, you can transfer your presentation to a computer we will be using for the conference.
