Registration for NWBS 2025 is now open! Please fill out the registration form here before April 15.

Lodging

NWBS 2025 Hotel Room Block: NWBS has a limited room block through UBC at the Walter Gage Suites (studio rooms) and West Coast Suites (one-bedroom suites) offering discounted rates for symposium attendees. To take advantage of the room block, please book through this link or you can call and mention you are part of NWBS 2025 or use the group code G250501D. Please make your bookings PRIOR TO April 1 for this discounted rate.

Other On-Campus Accommodations: UBC provides a number of other on-campus accommodations ranging from hostels to suites. More information can be found here.

Other Accommodations: UBC is a regional transit hub and is accessible by bus from much of the Greater Vancouver Area. If you plan on staying outside UBC, we recommend you take a look at the bus routes to see what areas have direct lines to UBC, particularly rapid transit lines.

Location

Land Acknowledgement: NWBS 2025 will be hosted at the University of British Columbia Vancouver campus, which is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) people. While you are on our campus, we encourage you to explore the campus and surrounding areas and reflect on the history of the land and its custodians.

Symposium: The symposium will be held at the new School of Biomedical Engineering (opened January 2025) building in the heart of campus. Please join us the morning of May 2nd for industry-led workshops and facility tours to kick off the symposium!

There are multiple free wifi services available on the UBC campus:

Pre-Symposium Activities

There will be several pre-symposium activities organized by some of our Gold Level Sponsors. These will include technical workshops and lab tours of the new School of Biomedical Engineering facilities. Please see the program for more information.
